Kimmeridge is an alternative asset manager focused on the energy industry. This position will join the management team in New York. The Finance Analyst will assist the Finance team with general accounting and management of future investments and the current portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Management Company:
- Maintain the general ledger, provide support to Fund Admin, review and approval of journal entries and financial statements prepared by Fund Admin, bank reconciliations, travel and company reimbursement schedules.
- Assist with various reporting and budget analyses.
- Cash management and processing of invoices.
- Assist with various compliance and other requests from the general counsel and investment team.
- Fund Accounting:
- Review of capital calls, distributions, provide support for weekly transactions to Fund Admin, review and approval of journal entries, assist with review and approval of quarterly financial statements and PCAPs in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the review of tax filings and entity formation and liquidation.
- Assist the investment team and investor relations team with financial data for investor presentations and ad hoc reporting.
- Respond to inquiries from investors, fund administrators, auditors, and other service providers.
Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of relevant management company and fund accounting experience. Preferably in a PE firm or fund administrator. Oil and Gas, renewable Energy or carbon credit experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
- High degree of proficiency in Excel – Sage Intacct familiarly a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, self-driven with strong work ethic with a “can-do” attitude
