SCUK Data Access & Commissions Advisor

Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and organised Data Access & Commissions Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis working in a hybrid role (with at least 3 days a week in the office).
In this role reporting to your Team Leader, you will be responsible for investigating and responding appropriately to customer commission queries received through Complaints, Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) or Letters of Claim. You will work through customer commission queries received through DSAR’s and complaints, ensuring that you keep to a high-quality level of service for our customers, and you will also regularly liaise with our legal representatives to ensure all regulatory and legal responsibilities are met.

Responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer commission queries in writing
- Follow company policy always adhering to service levels and current legislation
- Liaise with other areas of the business, including our internal and external legal teams to ensure complex customer queries are satisfactorily responded to
- To ensure all customer related data is accurately recorded and factual in line with GDPR
- Investigate, log, resolve and response to customer or claims management company queries surrounding Credit Files, Complaints and Data Subject Access requests within the regulatory time frame
- Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework
- Ensure all relevant legislation and regulation is followed
- Any other ad hoc and reasonable requests from the management team
We’re looking for someone with:
- GSCE’s for Mathematics and English at an A-C grade (or equivalent)
- Solid customer service experience (ideally in the Financial Services sector)
- Their own initiative to resolve complex customer queries
- A positive, enthusiastic approach and someone who is receptive to change
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills, as well as strong numeracy skills
- Confident telephone & call handling skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Planning and organisation skills
Other things to know:
- You will be required to work 2 bank holidays during the year and receive overtime pay at the appropriate rate to compensate you
- The training for this role requires you to work onsite full time until you are at the required standard – and as per the line managers discretion. Once this is achieved, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis (a mixture of working in the office and working from home) this is subject to line managers discretion
