Job Description

Join our team as a Scanning Lead and take charge of high-quality 3D scanning for characters, props, environments, and facial scans. In this role, you will lead a team of talented 3D scanning artists, optimizing workflows, integrating cutting-edge technology, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. Daily Responsibilities

• Lead 3D scanning operations, including scanning sessions for characters, props, environments, and facial scans, ensuring high-quality data acquisition through proper setup, lighting, and scanning techniques.
• Plan and execute scanning sessions.
• Ensure a high level of detail while balancing it to given deadline.
• Develop and refine 3D scanning workflows, researching and implementing new technologies, including AI-powered tools and automation.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Python, MEL, etc.) to improve efficiency and streamline the production pipeline.
• Lead and mentor a team of 3D scanning artists, providing training and guidance on advanced scanning techniques.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to align scanning processes with project goals and technical requirements.
• Plan and manage scanning schedules, ensuring alignment with production timelines and resource availability.
• Maintain documentation of scanning processes, pipeline improvements, and best practices while overseeing equipment inventory and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in 3D scanning and scan processing.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of 3D scanning artists.
• Strong understanding of 3D scanning hardware, software, and techniques
• Expertise in retopology, UV unwrapping, and texture baking.
• Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or MEL.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for 3D scanning and a commitment to delivering high-quality assets.

Additional Information

Working mode

• Office-First: working primarily from the Warsaw studio for a minimum of 3 days per week.
