About the Role
This role operates globally as integral part of Value Management (VM) within the SBU Intelligent Cockpit working in alignment with cross-project teams. Main responsibility is the software development of SBU specific Engineering tools and methods and applying those within the VM projects (from RFQ to Post-SOP). To ensure a standardized process it’s the responsibility of this role to monitor identified cost down activities along the tool chain until implementation.
What You Will Do
- Define,develop and maintain enhancements to an existing inhouse solution Harman Dash for engineering and VM data management and analysis
- Development in data driven environments (Python, Pandas, SciPy), RDMS (relational database management systems), user interface in web technologies (PHP, MySQL, JQuery/JavaScript), interfacing established business systems SAP, Facton, Teamcenter, Sharepoint
- Support onboarding process for SBU Engineering concerning VM tools and methods incl. training and documentation
- Directly contributing to VM project work by driving and monitoring implementation progress of identified cost down measures with Program Management and Development
- Optimization of SBU VM data management system to support SBU Engineering process
- Interface function to Central VM organization for data exchange and reporting
- Identify and own VM saving opportunities which require extensive data exploration
What You Need
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication or appropriate graduation) or a mixed/additional qualification with financial education
- Minimum of 5 years job experience (in different domains in automotive market)
- Experience in software development, hands-on in definition of software architectures, software development process, responsibility for integration and release
- Excellent knowledge about ERP, PLM and cost controlling systems
- Experienced in the above named development environments, database management systems and web technologies
- Mindset of Best Cost Approach in all development and production processes
- Ability to understand and investigate complex situations from technical and commercial perspective
- Understand the dynamics of the Automotive Tier-1 market and have a vision for market, customer trends and costdrivers
- Excellent English and German language skills
