This role serves a vital role in supporting the execution of funeral pricing strategies in the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR) for the funeral segment. Provides support to Funeral Revenue & Management to optimize service and merchandise revenues. Performs detailed review of funeral price list documents and compares various data sources to ensure all critical information and pricing is reflected accurately. Applies proven problem-solving skills to reconcile item and price discrepancies between multiple system sources. Executes high-quality, heavily detailed work with accuracy and efficiency on a daily basis. Maintains professionalism when interacting with team, location staff and other corporate departments.
- Prepare, load and validate funeral pricing tools including: TOPAS, Price Lists, .CSV pricing uploads and pricing reports.
- Collaborate within team on pricing modeling issues, trends, and key data points in order to learn and understand the industry and key decision points.
- Update and maintain prices, price lists and package structures in databases to ensure compliance with federal and state funeral regulations ensuring pricing integrity and accuracy.
- Works closely with Pricing Managers to update all pricing, item descriptions, setup and activations of service codes for all funeral locations.
- Test data enhancements to pricing system and tools and provide detailed feedback to Director of Pricing Intelligence/Systems.
- Generate pricing reports and other analytic views for Pricing Managers and Corporate Pricing Management.
- Works closely with the HMIS+ and Beacon team to ensure accuracy of location displays.
- Fosters a solid relationship with Supply Chain, HMIS/HMIS+/Beacon and Item Maintenance for item and contract accuracy.
- Self-manage workload, negotiating deadlines to meet expectations.
- Take the initiative to discuss assignments, expectations, priorities and deadlines as well as seek guidance and coaching from manager. Adjust quickly to new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
- Develops and proposes new system standards to improve production or workflow as required.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related discipline
Experience:
- Two (2) years of professional experience in a related field
- Experience in funeral industry preferred
- Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- SharePoint and Tableau experience a plus
