We’re looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our team who will have the opportunity to learn from and grow with our strong existing team. The Revenue Accountant will, in partnership with the team, own the end to end process for key areas of revenue recognition in a complex marketplace environment and play a key part in driving efficiencies and designing new processes for emerging products to contribute to a best in class close process. With revenue touching all parts of the business this role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with operational teams on ad hoc initiatives and projects to be champions for our customers, external and internal alike.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with the Revenue Accounting Manager to record monthly journal entries, cash transactions, and prepare related account reconciliations associated with StockX revenue
- Collaborate internally and with cross-functional business partners on improvement initiatives to streamline processes and shorten the revenue close calendar
- Research and help drive resolution of discrepancies with key cross-functional stakeholders in Customer Service, Inventory Control, and Transportation
- Assist with preparation for the annual financial statement audit
- Participate in special projects, user acceptance testing for new products, and analysis and reporting as needed
About you
- 2+ years experience in accounting, Big 4 firm and/or public company experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic knowledge of GAAP required, ASC 606 experience a plus
- Team player who is energized by working in a dynamic environment
Nice to have skills
- CPA certified or in the process of attaining CPA a plus
- Strong problem solving skills and experience analyzing high volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business environment
- Experience with various data analysis tools including but not limited to PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base salary range is $87,000 - $92,000, plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses (for full-time hires). Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.
