As a Reports Developer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our on-going success by creating high quality complex reports through the manipulation of the database and use of different applications. You will also be working in collaboration with our customer support and quality assurance departments to respond to customer requests and ensure a high quality product.
Main responsibilities
- Create Jaspersoft ad hoc queries, Jaspersoft Reports and Jaspersoft Dashboards
- Apply technical skills and experience for successful implementation of this reporting tool
- Design and develop reports using Jaspersoft reports, VB GUI applications
- Interrogate and manipulate the database to develop reports
- Work with company’s standards, procedures and software development methodologies and documentation
- May propose enhancements to Company’s processes and methodologies
- Writes documentation to describe own developed solutions as well as previous developed solutions that are assigned to be enhanced or modified, document with the objective of increasing the quality of finished solutions
- May propose software enhancement for feasibility
- Revises, verifies and resolves documented issues related to designed and/or developed solutions, as well as solutions previously designed or developed that are assigned according to project goals
- Reviews documented functional requirement specifications with the objective of increasing the quality of the developed solutions
- Reviews documented user guides with the objective of understanding the process environment in which the designed/developed solutions will interact
- Reports against designed and developed solutions, and registered or evaluated issues
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be graduated, enrolled or working towards one of the following program(s): Computer Science; Computer Application; Information Technology
- Familiar with web-based applications
- Solid knowledge of Java, Advanced Java with Hibernate based programming
- Solid knowledge MS SQL server
- 2+ years of experience in Jaspersoft Reports
- Familiar with Jasper reports would be considered an asset
- Familiar with accounting systems or ERP systems would be considered an asset
- Able to read, analyse and interpret technical information and documents;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently on projects, while being supervised both on site and off site by remote team managers
- Able to meet tight deadlines and multitask
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to travel internationally and locally on as needs basis for extended periods.
