Regional Director, Business Development - Pharma Product Delivery 

Position Summary:

The Regional Director, Business Development leads a team of Account Managers/Directors collectively responsible for selling North America's oral solid dose manufacturing and Rx softgel technologies. The Regional Business Development Director is accountable for achieving Revenue, Sales, Quotes and Funnel goals for the region and for ensuring the staffing, engagement, and development of the individuals within the team.

This person is the secondary point of contact for customers of PPD within this territory, will interact with PPD site leadership alongside the team of Account Managers/Directors, and will closely interact with Catalent leadership counterparts in the territory.

The Role

  • Lead Account Managers/Directors to achieve revenue, sales, quote & funnel goals, and individual growth & development goals
  • Achieve individual technology quote, sales, revenue & funnel goals, and individual growth goals
  • Define the sales strategy/product priorities for the PPD business division
  • Engage with senior customer management to provide sales leverage, Catalent perspective, and a channel for major opportunities and issues on behalf of direct reports
  • Establish and develop long-term company-to-company relationships with customer decision-makers.
  • Ensure customers are up to date with any new products within the technology
  • Collaborate with Global Partner Leaders in the construction and execution of their strategic account plan(s)
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • BS/BA in a scientific discipline, business, or related field. MS, MBA, or Ph.D. is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of combined sales and/or sales management experience in the pharmaceutical contract services sales (CDMO), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries.
  • Distinct knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development is preferred.
