About the team and position

The Recruiter, Talent Acquisition will have the unique opportunity to build, develop, and execute full life-cycle talent acquisition for Carvana’s Corporate and Technology teams. You will act as a direct extension of our hiring leaders and serve as the primary touchpoint for candidates from initial outreach through the offer stage, ensuring a stellar candidate experience. Most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a unique and exciting, talent-driven company.

What you’ll be doing

  • Perform full-cycle recruiting for a variety of skilled engineering and/or corporate roles.
  • Think outside the box and leverage your experience and creativity to match the right candidates to the right careers.
  • Develop effective and proactive candidate pipelines using both standard and creative sourcing strategies, social networking, and relationship building. 
  • Develop a solid understanding of assigned roles and requirements (skills, experience, education, competencies, industry-specific applications, etc.), and effectively assess candidate qualifications to influence hiring decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with hiring teams and leaders at various levels, keeping them engaged from in-take conversation to new hire start date.
  • Constantly identify new ways to improve all things recruiting - including the candidate experience, interview practices, funnel-building, reporting, quality of hire, hiring manager experience, and more.
  • Represent Carvana and applicable hiring teams at hiring events as needed.
  • Effectively manage priorities and deadlines to meet hiring needs of supported teams.

What you should know/have

  • 3+ years of talent acquisition experience (full-cycle recruiting), preferably a mix of agency and in-house.
  • Experience with virtual recruitment (social media, LinkedIn, resume sourcing).
  • Experience working with an ATS, preferably Greenhouse.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Aptitude for technical terminology and concepts.
  • Experience supporting technical roles, preferably requirements in ML and/or AI.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing deep market intelligence to inform your negotiation strategies.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable with change and can easily adapt.
