As a QA Automation Engineer IV, you will:
- Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of new testing strategies, tools, and techniques to improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for test cases, test scripts, and automated test environments.
- Analyze testing results, identify potential issues, and collaborate with development teams to suggest improvements and optimizations.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, providing expertise and leadership in automation testing practices.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of test automation systems in a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) environment.
- Collaborate with the development team, ensuring 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time for effective communication.
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Expertise in agile development practices and Scrum methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of various testing methodologies including regression, functional, performance, and security testing.
- Proficiency with Cypress (most important testing framework), Selenium, and Protractor (E2E), as well as experience with API testing.
- Strong skills in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Shell, or Ruby (nice-to-have).
- Extensive experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI (nice-to-have).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and virtualized test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker) (nice-to-have).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
