Your Responsibilities:

The Public Health Vaccines Senior Manager will lead the business strategic development, implementation, and monitoring of public health initiatives related to vaccines. This role is focused on strengthening public health policies, collaborating with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and stakeholders, and ensuring access to life-saving vaccines.

This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are:

  • Develop and implement strategies for vaccine programs in alignment with local and global public health priorities. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure vaccine accessibility, distribution, and coverage.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, health authorities, NGOs, and advocacy groups to promote vaccination efforts and policies.

  • Lead advocacy efforts for policies that increase vaccine accessibility, equity, and uptake. Provide expertise in vaccine policy development and public health recommendations.

  • Development of new business models and value proposition opportunities including robust feasibility assessment Technology transfer project.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Compliance, Communications and Government Affairs, Supply) to secure plan progress against agreed milestones and adherence to GSK policies and procedures.

  • Main liaison for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

  • Oversee the execution of commercial contract terms related to vaccines with the Ministry of Health

  • Close partnership and coordination with Goverment Affairs Team to jointly develop and execute Government Affairs agenda.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these characteristics to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, epidemiology or commercial careers.

  • Experience in public health with a focus on vaccines, immunization programs, or health policy Proven track record in managing large-scale health programs.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a preference for background in Tech transfer, tenders and contract management.

  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, presentations and relationship skills to drive business performance. 

  • Business acumen and demonstrated ability to think strategically, quickly appreciate the differing perspectives in each situation and achieve the best possible.  

  • Ability to influence teams via leadership and making a real impact in business.

Preferred Qualifications:

However, if you have the following, it would be a plus

  • Master’s degree in public health

  • Strong financial acumen
