CSG is organized by core customer-facing lines of business to manage and grow programs within NASA, NOAA, and the NNSA, while extending our capabilities to other civilian federal government agencies fully integrated within Aerospace rules, regulations, processes, values, and behaviors.
Within the CSG, the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight. We are looking for a Project Coordinator (Project Management Specialist II). In this role you will support the Human Exploration and Spaceflight line of business with program office systems engineering initiatives that stimulate and build out customer capabilities within emerging development programs across a variety of customers primarily supporting the NASA contract.
Work Model
This is a full-time position based out of Houston, TX and Johnson Space Center as a hybrid work model with 3-5 days onsite as needed.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the Space Flight Awareness award program for Aerospace's NASA Task Order contract (NSEETS). Includes, working with review team to select awardees, managing database records for program, ordering awards and supplies for ceremonies, coordinating and attending ceremonies and making sure they are kept at a level of professionalism warranted for the astronaut program.
  • OneNote - Build OneNote process library of all Human Exploration and Operations processes and maintenance as needed.
  • Configuration Management / Data Management (CM/DM) - Responsible to maintain quality controlled CM/DM for all Human Exploration and Operations records, processes, Space Flight Awareness awards program and consultant/subcontractor records.
  • Utilize CORA Project Portfolio Management software tool to create CORA entries and reports for financials, becoming familiar enough to serve as a backup when necessary.
  • Participate and support end of year task order planning support with converting files, updating Statement of Works and Pricing tools in support for FY renewal processes.
  • Communications - Provide engineering technical communications for required corporate newsletters as well as technical baseline management skills for multiple needs across the organization.
  • Facilitate technical roadmaps and documentation as needed for internal teams planning and understanding that align with customer requirements and Aerospace capabilities
  • Develop Systems Engineering & Integration (SEI) roadmaps and schedules that align with customer requirements and Aerospace capabilities
  • Support emerging NASA program SEI goals, objectives and requirement flow down for new initiatives supporting NASA system development task orders.
  • Communicate and respond to management team requests both timely and professionally.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand evolving acquisition related strategies in support of Human Exploration and Operations programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify resources, capabilities, and potential risks, providing feedback and updates to key stakeholders for our NASA task orders.
  • Travel may be required to support internal planning meetings and customer engagement.


What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years working in government ecosystems, including FFRDC understanding
  • Experience with NASA or government contracting
  • Strong understanding of program management processes, technical requirements, and operational execution
  • Strong technical writing skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Tool Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills to manage and prioritize multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines.
  • Ability to work within a team environment, where the team is distributed across multiple NASA Organizations, Projects and Programs.
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
