About this Position
We are looking for a full time Program Manager role to contribute to Primerica’s Digital Transformation. This person will work with the Primerica Enterprise Agile Services Team, Chief Digital Officer, head of Product Development and other stakeholders to help organize and manage key initiatives to improve the Primerica Representative experience.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Program Manager will be primarily responsible for serving as a program manager for our Digital and Data Transformation. Responsibilities, as a full time Program Manager will include:
- Be a change agent and servant leader who helps teams self-organize and deliver via effective agile like practices.
- Supports and enforces the agile like best practices.
- Helps the program team coordinate with other teams and communicates status to management as needed
- Scheduling and facilitating all scrum ceremonies,
- Coordinate program implement (PI) planning events,
- Monitoring KPIs,
- Handling dependencies across teams, as well as raising and mitigating risks,
- Monitors the health of the team by managing the implementation of improvements as suggested in team retrospectives; and,
- Having feedback conversations with all team members on a regular basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 3-5 years’ experience delivering software using an agile framework (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban) in a key Agile role such as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and/or Program Manager/Project Manager
- CSM certified (nice to have)
- PMP or PMI-ACP certified (nice to have)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communicator – verbal and written
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- Experience with risk mitigation strategies
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a program manager, coach, and/or a facilitator for the program, which may consist of multiple project and product teams
- Remove roadblocks that could impede delivery of key program deliverables
- Ensure adherence of application of Agile methods and practices
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners and other key stakeholders to help maintain progress towards program objectives
- Negotiate scope changes with the team
- May facilitate planning which may include agile and traditional planning methods
- Monitor/balance tasks among the delivery team with capacity planning
- Track the progress of user stories throughout sprints and keep the team on track towards their commitments
- Facilitate PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, system demo, and scrum of scrum ceremonies
- Keep everyone focused on delivering business value
- Proactively identify performance issues and opportunities for action
- Influence situations through suggestions, training, and advice on both straight-forward and complex issues, collaborating with other decision makers on day-to-day activities
- Practice the art of servant leadership and work to garner respect from the team
- Proactive use of metrics and measurement to improve team and train level improvements and deficiency
- Align with stakeholders on training, visioning, road-mapping, and release planning
SOFT SKILLS
- Strong facilitation, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation/influential
- Excellent listener and mentor with outstanding conflict-resolution skills and the ability to work in collaborative environments
- Ability to understand technical issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and lean thinking
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Predisposition towards patience and tolerance
- Comfortable and articulate in challenging change management scenarios, knowing when to insert themselves and when to fade back
- Ability to understand the program objectives, vision and KPIs to help drive key program initiatives to completion
- Experience creating and facilitating Agile training / workshops
- Experience working with large, small, remote, and co-located agile teams
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile practices: User story development and estimation, Five Levels of Agile Planning, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc.
- Experience with common processes and tools that support Agile methodologies such as VersionOne Lifecycle (preference), CA Agile Central, Jira, etc. as well as traditional PM tools such as Microsoft Project
- Experience in the use of scaling methods such as SAFe, or industry equivalents
- Experience in traditional SDLC methodology
- Knowledge in financial services industry
