Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead program management efforts for a product team. This role will lead aspects of the Product Development Lifecycle with a focus on maintaining compliance to the PMO methodology, standards and requirements. This role will successfully partner with Product Management and cross-functional teams to drive the development and execution of new product concepts across organizational teams, 3rd party technology and business partners. This is a remote consulting project. All qualified candidates must live in the United States and be fully authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship. This position will work primarily EST hours and potentially other time zones as needed with vendors and/or other teams.

 Responsibilities

·       Demonstrate formal program management approaches to ensure new products are delivered to market in an expedited manner to maximize revenue. Develop comprehensive product program reports and associated schedules.

·       Apply change management practices to ensure product programs are ready for kickoff and all changes are reviewed for justification, impact to the program and appropriate approvals.

·       Provide clarity on product program objectives, ensure responsibilities are understood and address any conflict in a timely manner, with minimal direction and assistance from management.

·       Manage the program’s financial budget allocation and corresponding spend profile, by following up on deliverables, invoices with vendors, and reporting accruals to Finance team.

·       Manage multiple concurrent product programs varying in size and complexity, while adjusting to changes in priorities.

·       Act as a liaison, both internally and externally, to support the development and management of key product initiatives.

·       Anticipate product program risks and issues and work to provide resolutions which ensure that stakeholder expectations are set appropriately.

·       Effectively communicate to diverse audiences, including translating subject matter terminology into clear business terms.

·       Facilitate decisions from complex situations that keep teams and projects moving forward.


Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering

·       Minimum of 7-8 years of program management, product development, and/or software development experience involving complex and dynamic technology environments

·       Experience with telecommunications, satellite communications or other related managed services.

·       Demonstrate the ability to manage a large complex program involving multiple vendors doing hardware development, API development, s/w application development and integrations

·       Proven experience leading large, dynamic programs and projects with cross-functional, matrixed resources, working in a fast paced, collaborative environment

·       Experience with Agile based development frameworks, (SAFe Agile, SCRUM, Kanban, etc.), collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro) and/or quality/services frameworks (ITIL, ISO 9000/1)

·       Experience as a creative problem solver that is detailed and results oriented but goes beyond mechanical project management practices

·       Ability to quickly earn the trust of key stakeholders, set direction and motivate teams to execute with limited information and ambiguity

·       Provide exceptional analytic skills to translate requirements and designs into successful action plans

·       Utilize problem-solving skills to anticipate the risks of non-performance and incorporate prevention and remediation measures within the implementation plan

·       Demonstrate conflict resolution skills combined with strong negotiation ability, delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism

·       Provide strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills

·       Must be fluent with MS Office tools, MS Project and Teams

·       Certifications in program management such as PMP, PMI or Scrum, SAFe are preferred

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 6 months+ consulting engagement on 1099 with an hourly rate of $80-90/hour. This role has potential extensions for longer term consulting engagement. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
