Job Description

The Backend Framework and Dev Tools team is responsible for providing world-class tooling, capabilities, and experiences that empower and inspires our employees, partners, and customers to build and tailor business applications providing business value in a fast and agile way. The Backend Framework and Dev Tools team is responsible for providing world-class tooling, capabilities, and experiences that empower and inspires our employees, partners, and customers to build and tailor business applications providing business value in a fast and agile way. 

As a Product Specialist, you are expected to:

• Engage with requirement owners and other stakeholders to interpret and analyze business requirements for the development team to create fit-for-purpose, enterprise-grade software that delivers business value, ensures usability, and maintains solution consistency.
• Leverage your functional industry know-how to design and maintain business solutions in IFS products.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the product quality and take proactive action to prevent issues from arising and resolve them quickly and effectively when they still do occur.
• Working on the Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR) with the team and ensure the software developed meets the acceptance criteria for our users.
• Create documentation, presentation, and training material.
• Have sufficient level of technical understanding to be able to collaborate with technical team comprising of Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Software Architect.
• Empathize with the Business Processes Automation authors to identify challenges in their IFS Workflows.
• Evangelize our Products and showcase how customers would benefit from what we deliver.
• Collaborate closely with users, guiding them through product usage and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with users, guiding them in using the IFS Workflow tool by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Actively engage with the IFS community to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional qualifications.
• 3+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to apply expertise and technology to achieve work objectives.
• Proficient in functional design and documentation.
• Hands-on experience with design principles.
• User-oriented mindset and ability to think from the user’s perspective.
• Strong quality assurance skills.
• A great team player, able to collaborate with global team members.
• Experience working with frameworks and a framework-driven mindset.
• A passion for learning new areas, improving processes, and finding smarter ways to work.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ideally, experience with relational databases and Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Previous leadership experience or a background as a Business Analyst will be advantageous.
