We are looking for a professional Product Owner & Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the application portfolio of your domain. Your goal is to create stable, flexible, and innovative digital environments with business-critical applications in your domain to ensure business objectives are met. This position combines the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, where you are responsible for both the product vision and roadmap with initiatives and epics (Product Manager), as well as the product features, user stories, and backlog prioritization (Product Owner). You will act as a key link between the business and the IT team or external suppliers. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in executing the IT strategy and driving digital growth within the organization.
As Product Owner and Manager, you are end-to-end responsible for developing the application landscape and services for your domain. By ‘domain,’ we refer to the set of value streams in the business to which your IT and digitalization products and services contribute. You will work on developing product visions and outlining the future IT landscape for your domain, in collaboration with fellow IT specialists. You will also develop product roadmaps with projects and initiatives to realize these product visions. You will bridge the gap between business and IT, translating organizational needs into technical possibilities and aligning with external suppliers. Together with business stakeholders, you will determine the product breakdowns and prioritize the backlog items for each sprint. You will ensure clear user stories and feasible designs. You will manage the execution of projects and keep stakeholders informed on progress. You will also ensure quality by monitoring performance, organizing testing, and ensuring controlled takeovers. You will establish the framework for proactive lifecycle management of your domain and manage licenses and support contracts. You will oversee supplier services, external parties, and support partners within your domain and monitor project budgets and service costs.
Your position in the organization
You will report hierarchically to the IT Director of the Netherlands and functionally to the Business Owners. You will lead multidisciplinary, agile teams functionally, consisting of external resources from suppliers and the Service Delivery team, which includes application administrators. The Service Delivery Manager will support you in this. You will also work closely with business stakeholders, Business and Data Analysts, and the other Product Owner.

We are looking for a driven and professional Product Owner & Manager who is motivated to build a professional IT landscape and advance digitalization in the coming years. You are a connector with a pleasant personality. In addition, you possess the following characteristics and competencies:
- HBO/WO work and thinking level with a relevant degree;
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, preferably gained in an industrial environment;
- Experience with and knowledge of Agile and Lean concepts and the ability to guide colleagues in these areas; a SAFe or CSPO certification is a plus;
- Experience with supplier management, license management, and application lifecycle management;
- Takes end-to-end ownership of your domain (run & change) and ensures high customer satisfaction;
- Can quickly acquire expertise and further develop the team;
- Results-oriented: able to drive explicit goals, efficiency, and effectiveness;
- Team player: works well with others toward common goals, can coordinate and organize;
- Communicative connector: able to communicate effectively with attention to the level of and relevance for the recipients;
- Proficient in Dutch and English.
