Job Description
The Position:
We are seeking a Product Marketing Analyst to join the Marketing & Communications team in our New York office. The individual will be primarily responsible for supporting the marketing efforts for Brookfield and Oaktree strategies across various investment vehicles to financial intermediaries and advisors across the globe.
The role entails working closely with the entire Marketing & Communications team and regularly interacting with investment teams across business groups, global sales and business development teams, and legal and compliance professionals, as well as our corporate brand and communications team and external agencies. This person will be an integral part of the Marketing team and will be responsible for the support of market and data intelligence, strategy advocacy, and creation of compelling and consistent messaging across all internal and external communications with the goal to drive and retain assets under management within financial intermediary distribution channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain product-specific marketing collateral and campaigns
- Manage product material and educational insight creation across high-impact media such as microsites, videos, audio, and presentations
- Manage monthly/quarterly/annual material update processes
- Monitor the macro and market environment and evaluate the competitive landscape
- Perform and compile global, competitive analysis for products and asset classes
- Work across the organization to support strategic product initiatives
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or another related field or demonstrated comparable experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong interest in financial services marketing, and experience with asset management and retail/intermediary distribution preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge of alternatives strategies is beneficial
- Strong analytical skills and quantitative orientation
- Excellent written communication skills with a digital first mindset
- Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and consistency
- Desire to work in a team environment possessing strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with financial data resources and analysis or desire to learn (e.g. Bloomberg, Morningstar, Preqin, Pitchbook, eVestment) preferred
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
