Develop and Execute Roadmap: Define and drive the product roadmap for map data analytics and base map management, balancing quick fixes with long-term strategic improvements.
Collaborate with other GEO Product Teams: Work hand-in-hand with the Geo teams to ensure the accurate rendering of basic map data objects and consistent quality across the product.
Monitor and Analyze Performance Metrics: Track key performance indicators for map data quality and performance, delivering actionable insights to optimize data pipelines and rendering processes.
Cross-Functional Project Management: Liaise with engineering, analytics, and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of map data initiatives, from ingestion to visualization.
Ensure Scalability and Robustness: Oversee the development of scalable and robust data pipelines that can handle high volumes of real-time data, ensuring consistent and accurate map experiences.
Drive Data-Driven Improvements: Leverage analytics tools and methodologies to identify performance gaps and implement data-driven enhancements to the map data system.
Relevant Experience: 7+ years in product management or project management, ideally within map data, GIS, or location-based services.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of map data ingestion, curation, and base map management, including familiarity with real-time data pipelines and rendering techniques.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and enhance map data quality, with a proven ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable product improvements.
Collaborative Mindset: Demonstrated experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including hands-on collaboration with specialized groups like the GeoMaps team.
Project Management Expertise: Skilled in agile methodologies, roadmap planning, and prioritizing tasks based on strategic impact and available resources.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical details in clear, actionable terms for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
