We are looking for a Product Manager, Consumer Label Solutions to join our team in Mills River, NC.

I am excited to be looking for a new member of our team. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for Consumer Labels Group. In this position, you will manage and drive the product life cycle, from ideation to commercialization, as well as optimization of your product line. You will collaborate with a cross functional team to implement portfolio strategies and ensure long-term financial health of your segment. What you will do

  • Define products and services to be offered in the area of responsibility

  • Follow developed products through customer and end-user trials

  • Interact with all parts of manufacturing, supply chain, sales, technical support, and our Regional Organization

  • Gather and analyze information to understand the market demand for the product responsibility area, this includes close contact and collaboration with Sales and Business Development

  • Have the ownership of product inquiries, and be involved in Sales Force projects, trial coordination, sample management, range and offer development, product line rationalization, and marketing communication coordination

  • Conduct pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product pricing

  • Evaluate target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches

  • Compose, develop, evaluate, and conduct appropriate training for others within the company

  • Collaborate, participate in, and support product representation to customers

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

  • You have a thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices

  • You are experienced in creating value propositions

  • You possess project management skills

  • You have proven influencing and leadership skills

  • You have a methodological way of working, as well as time management skills

  • You exhibit UPM values: achieve together, renew with courage, trust and be trusted 

  • Experience in packaging is beneficial
