Procurement Business Partner plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of site manufacturing processes by maintaining the continuity of supply and services. This position demands a proactive approach to managing supplier relationships and ensuring that the site's manufacturing operations are not disrupted by material or service shortages. The role is pivotal in coordinating with various departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, and other support functions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Continuity of Supply and Services

  • Ensure seamless manufacturing operations by avoiding material or service shortages.
  • Manage supplier communication on performance, projects, and complaints, escalating as needed.
  • Conduct risk analysis and partner on mitigation plans for critical commodities.
  • Provide supplier-related guidance to management and ensure contractual coverage for Direct Materials and CAPEX/OPEX activities.


Project Support

  • Serve as Procurement SME on Global and Site Projects, ensuring supplier milestones are met.
  • Secure stakeholder alignment and provide project updates using tracking tools.


Cost Control

  • Assist in site budget planning, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report savings.
  • Drive efficiency projects, negotiate terms, and manage value analysis.


Stakeholder Management

  • Align with the Site's priorities, offer training on Procurement processes, and act as a problem-solving SME.
  • Represent Procurement in key meetings and support global reporting needs.


Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop supplier partnerships, manage performance, and resolve escalated issues.
  • Drive innovation, conduct business reviews, and maintain the preferred supplier list.


Procurement Alignment

  • Implement procurement strategies to optimize quality, services, and costs.
  • Align Site requirements with Category Strategies and contribute to best practice sharing.


Sourcing

  • Lead local supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection in line with standards.
  • Use procurement tools to identify opportunities and support cross-site initiatives.


Compliance

  • Facilitate contractual agreements with Legal, ensure regulatory compliance, and support audits.
  • Uphold procurement policies and assist in process and technology implementation.


YOUR PROFILE

  • 5+ years of Procurement experience, including cost reduction initiatives, contracting, eSourcing, and spot buying.
  • Understanding of Direct Materials, OPEX categories, and cost levers.
  • Proven ability to lead procurement projects, challenge stakeholders, and drive value.
  • Financial and business acumen with experience in multi-project manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into Procurement strategies and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in contract management systems (e.g., Ariba, SAP) and MS Office.


Desired

  • Degree level educated, preferably with a business-related degree
  • Any Professional Purchasing or Finance related certification (CIPS, IIPMM)
  • Pharmaceutical Industry experience
