While reporting to the Plant Manager you will be accountable for flexible packaging process improvement and cost reduction projects related to rotogravure printing, extrusion, laminating, slitting and die cutting. You will work with the plant manufacturing team to implement processes, product improvement and cost reduction projects. You will also verify that product and process trials test the desired criteria, deliver measurable results, minimize costs and receive approval from plant manager.
What you will be doing:
- Propose process improvement and cost reduction projects. Develop and implement project plans. Form and facilitate teams to meet targeted productivity objectives.
- Identify and develop improved process characterization procedures.
- Coordinate product and process trials. Coordinate projects with all team members; notify team members of project status, process defects and plans of action.
- Analyze and facilitate resolution of process problems with process improvement team members.
- Coordinate and facilitate teams to work with customers to improve product quality, to reduce lead times, to improve service quality, to reduce costs or related projects.
- Address/respond to customer complaints.
This position is located in our Plant City, FL facility and 100% onsite
- We expect you to have a BS degree in in Engineering or other technical field
- This is a progression position - compensation and progression level will be based on candidate’s experience and education, and current business needs.
