Why this role is important to us
This position is part of a newly-established Risk Management Office (RMO) in SimCorp, which oversees SimCorp’s risk management practices, as well as process excellence and internal control systems. You will report to the Head of Risk Management however, your daily activities will be performed in alignment with Risk Partner Office Team Lead.
The RMO is divided into 3 teams: Risk Partners Office (4 risk partners, including the Team Lead), Risk Methodology and Reporting Office, Process & Internal Controls Team.
As a Risk Partner you will support establishing and maturing our enterprise risk management, and enabling integration of risk management into our business functions, with the main focus on our Finance Function and Advisory Function (Procurement Team and Legal Team).
Risk partnering is a new concept and the basis for our Risk Management Target Operating Model. The Risk Partner is to be an expert, ally and educator in the area of risk management towards assigned business functions – in your case, Finance Function and Advisory Function (assignment may change due to any possible operational changes).
What you will be responsible for

Establishing yourself as a SPOC in the area of risk management and controls for the assigned functions, building rapport with assigned functions to be a trusted partner

Facilitating risk discussions, coordinating the risk cycle (risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, reporting) within assigned functions

Ensuring timely input for quarterly risk assessment and reporting, coordinate with Risk Methodology and Reporting Office (part of Risk Management Team) and other risk partners

Monitoring effectiveness of risk response and control effectiveness

Conducting risk workshop

Providing relevant data and trends, benchmarks to facilitate risk discussions

Coordinating risk acceptance process for assigned functions

Supporting the functions in incident reporting

Supporting risk-based process discovery and coordinate with Process Excellence & Internal Controls

Supporting the functions in monitoring and addressing audit findings

Participating in Group-driven activities in the area of risk and internal controls

Providing risk advice

Coordinating with other risk partners, share experience and best practices, contribute to the team’s development and maturity of SimCorp’s risk management
What we value (our requirements)

8+ years of professional experience in risk management

Comprehensive knowledge of ERM methodology

Experience from related fields to software development, IT in the area of processes-risks-controls

High analytical skills, methodical know-how and quick conceptual understanding of complex matters

Ability to work with limited supervision, proactiveness
