About the role:

As a SRE developer, you will be responsible for monitoring, automating, and improving the reliability, performance, and availability of Tax Information Reporting Suite applications and systems. You are also responsible for providing primary operational support and engineering for multiple distributed TIRS application. You should work closely with cross functional team and help manage TIRS infrastructure and build effective monitoring systems to prevent any incidents. You should administer the production job and help build scalable solutions to avoid any outages by implementing industry best practices.  

What you will be doing

• Collaborate with cross functional team to automate, monitor, improve reliability, performance and availability of Tax Information Reporting Suite applications and systems.
• Improve automation and increase the system’s self-healing capability.
• Monitor the production environment and taking holistic view of system health
• Develop and provide primary operational support for TIRS software applications
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of TIRS applications
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Measure and optimize system performance
• Gathering client feedback and incorporating them into the application as part of the continuous improvement process.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Coding experience beyond simple scripts
• Should inspire trust, encourage innovation, and promote a positive work culture.
• Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Good understanding of Shell Scripting, CI/CD tools and Python,
• Should possess strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and make informed decisions.
• Must be able to convey complex ideas, provide clear instructions, and facilitate smooth collaboration.
• Self-motivated and self-learner. Ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Adaptability: The dynamic nature of the development landscape requires adaptability. You should be open to change, embrace new technologies, and stay updated with industry trends.
