The RoleProvide seismic processing and imaging services to Oil, Gas and Energy companies, helping them achieve and enhance their subsurface objectives through the use of advanced processing, imaging, characterization, and interpretation software. Perform Quality Control on on work performed by other geophysicists.
Your Impact
- Supports clients locally and remotely by managing and working with a team of seismic processing and imaging professionals to solve complex subsurface issues with state-of-the-art software, properly using company resources, company processes and systems for project management, project execution, and project reporting.
- Sees projects to completion with high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Performs quality control on work performed by other geophysicists with a focus on data integrity, data quality, and professional and intuitive presentation documents
- Develops relationships with the customer. Understands technical, business, and contractual requirements. to see a project through completion.
- Performs and Ensures consistent and professional reporting and presentation styles across all projects
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the science behind the software.. Expands user knowledge through the application of that software to solve real world problems with client data.
- Conducts projects with regular meetings with the client following the principles and best practices put forth by the Aspentech SSE Geoscience Services group.
What You'll Need
- Bs in Geophysics or the Geosciences + Post Graduation in Geophysics in lieu of experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in seismic processing.with 2 years experience in velocity model building and depth imaging.
- Must be capable of independently carrying out a seismic processing and imaging project without regular oversight
- Experience with Aspentech Seismic Processing and Imaging Suite (Echos and GeoDepth) Building and Imaging software), or their equivalents.
- In particular, advanced knowledge of land data processing workflows including shallow subsurface optimization or more general subsurface velocity model derivation & update will be highly advantageous
- May require a minimum amount of travel.
