WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US 

 

In this role as Principal – Channel Partnerships you will determine best of breed partners for integration of our products within third-party platforms as well as ensure growth through our existing partners. You will own and develop the strategy and management of our EMEA channel partner strategy and report to the Global Head of Partnerships. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • Developing and implementing strategies to enhance EMEA sales and market presence via Channel Partners, ensuring alignment with SimCorp strategic goals 
  • Collaborating with regional Sales teams to identify key partnerships and to ensure revenue growth through existing partnerships 
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing Channel Partners to optimize sales performance, pipeline generation and expanding SimCorp product market reach 
  • Assisting in establishing global commercial policies for existing and new Channel Partners 
  • Supporting one joint sales intelligence, metrics/KPI infrastructure across SimCorp by utilizing SalesForce.com 
  • Managing the revenue generation process from “Prospect-to-Sale” for strategic partners 
  • Working closely with marketing teams to develop joint marketing campaigns and promotional activities with Channel Partners 
  • Understanding the partners needs and current workflow and advising them on the relevant use of software, index products and risk models 
  • Liaising between all corporate functions including product, legal and finance 

 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • At least 8+ years of financial market experience, sales and sales engineering 
  • Experience selling sophisticated financial software solutions into the buy-side or sell-side 
  • Ability to build good relationships and to lead critical client negotiations and relationships 
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational and functional boundaries and to contribute to the strategic agenda of the company 
  • Previous experience with an international European parent entity and global sales organization and exposure to European capital market regulations 
  • Very good written and oral communication and presentation skills 
  • A strategic and commercial mindset paired with a results-oriented focus 
  • Very good quantitative and analytical skills  
  • Solid understanding in equity and fixed income concepts around modern portfolio theory, CFA designation is desirable 
  • Travel: 15 -30% 
  • Working from SimCorp’s office at least two days per week in alignment with our hybrid work approach.
