Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Number Porting and Circuit Specialist to manage and execute single circuit orders and porting process for project phone requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth installation of circuit orders and transition of phone numbers and services from one provider to another, in alignment with client requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VoIP technology, Broadband and Fiber transport services, along with excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record in managing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end number porting process for cloud-based phone implementations, including number transfers and service migrations.
  • Coordinate with clients, telecommunications carrier orders, and internal process management to ensure successful porting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and carrier-specific requirements during the number porting process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding number porting and carrier circuit requests and providing status updates.
  • Collect and verify necessary information and documentation from clients for accurate porting such and current existing phone records commonly located on Customer Service Records.
  • Address and resolve client inquiries and issues related to the carrier circuit orders and number porting process.
  • Interact with telecommunications carriers and vendors to facilitate smooth circuit installations and number porting service transitions.
  • Track and manage porting requests, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any issues that arise.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier orders processes and requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all porting activities, including request submissions, approvals, and completion statuses.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on number porting activities, progress, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Identify and address any issues or discrepancies that occur during the number porting process.
  • Work with technical teams to resolve any technical problems related to phone setup or number porting.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Evaluate and enhance the carrier order and porting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to number porting and carrier requirements.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on experience and industry knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
