Job Description
The global standard of Industrial automation infrastructure at Mondelez manufacturing sites requires high level of automation based on PLC systems allowing autonomous control of production processes and detailed reporting about process parameters and equipment performance.
Plant Automation engineers as part of plant maintenance team is responsible for managing, actively supporting, and extending projects based on PLC systems and connected to OT network, according to internal and global standards, to ensure smooth daily operation. Scope is related to support more than 100 interconnected production systems installed and operational in Kostolné Kracany production plant.
Areas of responsibility:

  • PLC based automation systems, robotic systems, electric drives & motion systems, industrial vision systems, deployment, configuration, testing, and maintenance of automation technology. Automation engineer has the full ownership of the PLC systems operations.
  • Engineering specific automated applications, deployment according to plant needs, aligned with MDLZ global engineering standards.
  • Support internal automation team in Kostolné plant for IT & OT related services and projects in production segments
  • Support implementation and management of projects driven by global MDLZ automation standards and engineering solutions.
  • Strong support of Continuous improvements activities, allowing deep analysis of PLC process control, evaluation of process stability, identification of unstable parameters and measurement of process inputs/outputs in order to improve performance parameters as GE, MTBF or MTTR


Main Responsibilities
Support local production and maintenance activities and operation users

  • Second line of maintenance support, proactively manage and lead resolution of technical problems.
  • Provide standard and non-standard business hours support in case of business emergency issues, project requirements etc.


M&R and Continuous performance improvements responsibilities

  • For local automation infrastructure and hardware. Design and deployment of improvements, evaluation of performance.
  • Support local and MDLZ regional/global applications used in plant or any other systems in area process control, process reporting and process analysis
  • Support performance improvements activities by process analysis, measurements and reporting using automation infrastructure
  • Performs regular safety, quality and performance checks and audits for automation production systems
  • Responsible for maintenance and continuous improvement of HW and SW portfolio of automation, PLC, robotics and industrial vision systems


Engineering responsibilities

  • Support design, implementation and vertical start-up of industrial automation infrastructure and hardware including PLC systems, OT network, robotic systems, in cooperation with suppliers and plants automation and project team
  • Understand and implement and enforce electrical, OT and IT technology standards (IEC, ISA, Mondelēz Internal standards)


Collaboration

  • Communicate and closely cooperate with plants automation team, plant stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Site contact for regionally/globally managed services and OEM/service suppliers in area of automation and robotics system
  • Supervise work of external vendors


Projects management

  • Participate on local engineering & IT projects in defined area of responsibility (electrical, OT & IT)


Strategies & Policies/Processes

  • Understand and support plant deliverables in its complete scope
  • Define and execute local strategic plan for IT & OT engineering services.
  • In IT and engineering area of responsibility ensure local plant manufacturing food safety policies is followed as well environmental friendly daily work and behavior.
