For the Chief Administration Office department in our company State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich we are looking for a bank-wide Outsourcing Portfolio Manager (m/f)

The bank-wide Outsourcing Portfolio Manager is accountable for all aspects of the outsourcing management framework for State Street Bank International (SSBI) in Germany and its European

Branches. The Central Outsourcing Officer is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive outsourcing risk management program to ensure the effective use of interaffiliates

and third parties to accomplish SSBI’s strategic goals. The role reports to the Central Outsourcing Officer at SSBI.

Preferred Location: Frankfurt or Munich

What you will be responsible for

You will be accountable for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of effective policies, procedures, systems, and controls in accordance with European-wide and local laws, regulations, and guidance to enable SSBI to identify, assess, monitor, manage and report outsourcing related risks.

Specifically, you will:

• Maintain outsourcing risk management program to meet regulatory requirements, including in local branch jurisdictions
• Drive and embed the strategies, policies, standards, and procedures established to manage outsourcing risk
• Embed effective oversight and monitoring processes and controls across the phases of the outsourcing lifecycle, including planning, implementation, monitoring, management, and reporting
• Provide technical advice and guidance to a broad range of stakeholders across various business lines and functional units, ensuring ongoing awareness of the outsourcing framework and relevant requirements
• Manage a robust process for the maintenance of a comprehensive inventory of all internal and external outsourcing arrangements
• Ensure that new, or amended regulatory obligations, industry guidance and best practice applicable to SSBI are appropriately assessed and reflected in relevant frameworks
• Identify and execute process improvements to the outsourcing management framework and promote simplification in outsourcing processes through the identification of synergies
• Drive remediation and continuous improvement programs in collaboration with global and local stakeholders
• Act as an ambassador for State Street at external industry events, increasing the prominence of the State Street brand
• Ensure that the group complies with regulations and internal policies and escalation procedures are followed
• Report regularly to corporate and regional committees, either directly or through delegate

Education, Experience and Skills

• Educated to degree level or equivalent industry recognized qualification
• Many years of relevant experience in Global Services operations
• Deep knowledge and understanding of controls frameworks and how to execute them
• Sound knowledge of the EMEA regulatory environment and how it relates to State Street
• Proven leadership, teamwork and communication skills
• Experience of influencing others in order to move toward a common goal
• Forward looking with a holistic approach
• Confident and decisive - able to operate with a strong level of autonomy, but also able to appropriately judge required escalation and communication
• Proven ability to collaborate and drive execution at all levels within the organization
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and regionally diverse environment
