Purpose and function of job:

The Operations analyst is responsible for resolving post funding issues on loans funded by the Correspondent channel. Issues include post funding adjustments, MI research, data integrity, escrow holdback completion, servicing discrepancies, tax related issues, delivery issues, delegated uninsured government loans, MERS reconciliation and client inquiries.

Accountabilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities of this job classification:

Maintain a pipeline of loans ensuring resolution of issues in a timely manner. Research and resolve reported issues through loan file and data audit Document and communicate resolution to affected departments and/or client and borrowers Initiate wire and check requests where appropriate to resolve post funding adjustment issues Recommend system or process enhancements in order to reduce recurring deficiencies Provide best in class customer service to clients, borrowers, and other departments within the company

Experience and skills requirements:

  • Five years prior experience in mortgage processing, closing or post funding
  • Knowledge of mortgage documentation is required
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, and USDA documentation
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with MS Access
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must possess good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to prioritize workload
  • Must possess strong follow-up skills
  • Must be detailed oriented
