Your Role:

The Non-Natural Catastrophe Exposure Manager is responsible for managing and mitigating risks related to non-natural catastrophic events, including man-made disasters, geopolitical crises, cyber incidents, terrorism, industrial accidents, and supply chain disruptions. 
This role encompasses all Apollo syndicates under management and involves developing strategies to assess, prevent, respond to, and recover from non-natural catastrophes that could impact the organization’s operations, assets, and reputation.

What you’ll do:

  • This role will manage all Exposure Management Processes and Regulatory requirements Non-Natural Catastrophe Syndicates and the onboarding of new syndicates – (Cyber, Liability, Specialty, Credit, Parametric to name a few)
  • It will involve monthly signoff and oversight of the Exposure Management reporting, creating, and presenting governance reporting into the Underwriting and Syndicate Management Committees and will oversee developing modelling best practice.
  • Assisting with event response
  • Supporting the business planning process
  • Coordinate validation and challenge of Exposure Management Framework.
  • Ensure our Lloyd’s Principle plans are being adhered to.
  • Assisting with stress test scenarios and aggregate reporting to link in with the wider Apollo group.
  • This role is expected to have high interaction with Lloyd’s.
  • Must take ownership of Business Continuity/Operational Resilience for their area of responsibility as stipulated by the business and complete all relevant documentation within company agreed timelines
  • Must make time to attend training and exercises as stipulated by the business
  • Must make sure that line managed staff attend agreed training and exercises when designated to do so
  • Must provide time for all line managed staff to attend training and exercises as provided by the business on Business Continuity/Operational Resilience
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure that the business of Apollo is controlled effectively
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure that the business of Apollo complies with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system
