You’re adept at navigating complex technical landscapes, especially those involving Linux OS internals, kernels, drivers, and network stacks. Your problem-solving skills match your eagerness to contribute to team efforts and deliver solutions that impact millions daily. What you’ll do
- Optimize the Kape network stack, routing and infrastructure of the Kape products.
- Lead spikes, prototyping, and R&D efforts to explore new solutions and technologies.
- Optimize and continuously improve the experience of Kape customers while on the VPN.
- Optimize and continuously improve the Kape use of platforms and tooling across the engineering, operations teams and all of our products.
What you’ll bring
- Deep understanding of IP networking, including both low-level sockets programming and high-level application layer programming (eg. OpenSSL, GNUPG and public/private key encryption)
- Experience with platform-native networking internals on Linux.
- Experience with Rust, Python, or Golang.
Nice to have but not required
- Computer security: public key infrastructure, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure As Code or CI/CD pipelines
