The Network Operations Engineer 2 installs, configures and troubleshoots server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems and other resources in a data center, infrastructure or other centralized computer network setting. The Network Operations Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Humana is seeking a Network Operations Engineer 2 that will:

• Maintain access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center and infrastructure environment.
• Monitor, track and record system performance and utilization metrics.
• Communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
• Recommend process, hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center and infrastructure efficiency.
• May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
• Understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
• Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
• Follow established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Less than 5 years of Network Operations experience
  • 2 years of corporate IT experience, with Windows 7 and general networking skills
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Professional IT certifications

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$66,800 - $91,100 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
