About you and this role  - What you will do in this role

Dow has an exciting and rewarding opportunity for our MRO Coordinator in Carrollton, KY.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

  • Assures effective compliance to Dows financial controls rules and targets.
  • Runs, monitor and course-correct all MRO health metrics for the site.
  • Monitors supplier performances regarding timelines and completeness of deliveries.
  • Monitors resource needs, resource allocation for all MRO related functions. Supports and escalates MRO resource performance deviations. It is the key relationship professional between Dow MRO and the augment staffing team
  • Acts as problem solver for technical aspects on MRO materials.
  • Supports and possibly coordinates MRO work process improvements
  • Works as liaison for MRO needs for the site together with all interfacing processes and needs.
  • Documents Critical Spare Part Definition and parameters for a critical spare parts.
  • Handles reservations and backorders for MRO inventory items. Sets up new items for inventory and executes MRO inventory replenishments.
  • Assists the business in articulating the business MRO supply strategy.
  • Supports Material Master Management, Expandable Consumable Material Management Process (ECMMP), Slow Moving and Obsolete Part Management and Investment Recovery.
  • Serves as the focal point responsible for the Generation of Code requests for inventoried and non -inventoried MRO material.
  • Executes Order Recommendation process. Analyzes, establishes and manages MRO inventory levels. Maintains MRO inventory records and parameters. Performs technical identification of new and/or existing MRO materials. Participates in standardization of MRO materials.
  • Analyzes surplus/obsolete materials or equipment and initiates investment recovery process.
  • Participates in systems support functions including changes to programs, functionality and testing.

Ultimately become the Site MRO DAS (Discipline Activity Specialist)

Serves as an expert in a specific discipline / area of expertise who works across work processes throughout and between geographies/sites.

  • Ensures alignment of site disciplines to global strategies, work processes and best practices through site representation on Global Discipline/Emphasis teams and supports the implementation of Most Effective Technology (MET).
  • Serves as an expert in a specific discipline / area of expertise who works across work processes throughout and between Geography's/ Sites.
  • Promotes discipline knowledge exchange and its quality application through technical coaching.
  • Leads the implementation of high value globally supported improvement opportunities.
  • Networks broadly within the technical community (Communication).
  • Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy
    • Performs technical reviews of procedures.
    • Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review.
    • Supports development of the “Procedure Exemption List”.
    • Creates/develops/changes/updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure MOC’s.

Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)

  • A minimum of High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Maintenance or in Operations roles.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills - An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential

  • Work experience in MRO and/or GMWP (Global Maintenance Work Process) Roles.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and can learn new systems quickly.

  • Computer Acumen: Ability to understand and use technology to solve problems and achieve goals.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong reading comprehension and listening skills.

  • Safety Conscious: Must be aware of potential hazards and dangers, and being prepared to handle them.
