What success looks like in this role:

Manual Software testing

• Understanding of SDLC & STLC – Software Development Life Cycle & Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Understanding of Agile process -
• Test Case Design & Execution – Ability to create, execute, and manage test cases.
• Defect Tracking Tools – Experience with tools like JIRA
• Basic SQL Knowledge – Ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation.
• API Testing – Familiarity with API testing using Postman (optional but beneficial).
• Mobile & Web Testing – Understanding of mobile and cross-browser testing.
• Automation Awareness – Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium is a plus but not mandatory.

• Analytical Thinking – Ability to find edge cases and think like an end user.
• Communication Skills – Ability to write clear test reports and communicate findings with developers.
• Team Collaboration – Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers.

3. Experience & Education

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Not always mandatory, but preferred).
• Certifications (Optional but Valuable) – ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification can boost credibility.
• Relevant Work Experience – 2-4 years

4. Testing Types Knowledge

• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke & Sanity Testing
• Usability Testing
• Compatibility Testing
• Performance Testing (Basic understanding)
