Your Opportunity as the Manager, Supply Chain Planning
Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectations
In this role you will:
Operational
-
Manage to KPI scorecard measures of fill rate, product obsolescence and inventory levels
-
Collaborate with producing facilities to deliver the following:
-
Manage and develop the 24-month production plan that maximizes output of shared capacity resources, while building appropriate inventory to meet seasonal peaks and insure adequate critical raw materials are available to support the plan.

Evaluate requests to verify supply sufficiency to meet incremental sales growth (ie. New distribution / growth)
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Plant Management and Raw Material planners necessary to maintain first line support and training for Production Planning and Inventory targets
-
Develop Business Continuity Plan for planned production to compensate for seasonal capacity constraints or planned capacity downtime for capital work
-
Implement IBP strategic decisions (i.e. Inventory goals, primary/secondary sourcing decisions)

Manage Supply Planning work streams for Marketing and Operational initiatives including:
-
Participate in team meetings to maintain milestones and insure cross functional issues are addressed timely

Manage project specific planning requirements with cross functional liaison
-
Support effective sourcing changes, inventory builds, line assignments and other system maintenance. Work with IBP System Support
-
Maintain business continuity while managing costs related to product transitions and inventories.

Manage direct report(s) performance and career framework objectives.
Strategic/Acquisition
-
Support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by performing the following:
-
Understand the strategic vision, business plan, and new product introductions for the SBA’s supported to better anticipate the needs, identify possible issues, and document assumptions related to S&OP.

Prepare for Supply Review with focus on capacity utilization and projected inventory results including:
-
Identify time phased supply capacity gaps in meeting all demand and in delivering strategic objectives.

Identify/perform "What If?" and sensitivity analysis for areas of risk including:
-
Analyze impact of short-term decisions on long term plans.
-
Anticipate and evaluate impact of demand or supply variations.
-
Impact of commission/qualify/verify (CQV) not happening as planned.

Confirm supply is available to meet incremental sales growth (i.e. new distribution or growth).

Communicate decisions to appropriate cross functional areas to implement.

Provide Supply Chain process and system expertise
-
Understand/identify IBP business concerns/process improvements, map to current process and/or JMS best practice.

Communicate recommendations and manage implementation of process improvements.
-
Training on supply chain processes and IBP system
-

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
-
5 years prior Supply Chain experience - in areas of inventory management, supply planning or production planning is desired, experience working with operations is a plus

Prior training development and presentation skills
-
Recognized as internal expert to business customers in the area of Supply Chain planning

Ability to anticipate business challenges
-
Ability to develop and recommend process, system improvements
-
Ability to solve problems and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
-
Ability to build / maintain effective relationships between corporate and plant functional areas
-
Develops depth of knowledge in specific supply chain and broad working knowledge of other supply chains and functional areas
-
Ability to differentiate areas of responsibility and when to elevate to appropriate level of organization for effective/efficient decision making
-
Excellent analytical/evaluation skills; attention to details

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
-
Self-motivated, takes initiative, good follow-up

Strong interpersonal skills

Ability to travel required as needed
