There is an exciting opportunity to join the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business within Collins. The Airborne Mobile program office is in need of a Program Cost Scheduling and Control Analyst. This position requires an individual who will provide program financial leadership and support and who possesses strong knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, analysis, and compliance. 

Responsibilities will include working closely with key program and cross-functional leaders to analyze performance variance to targets and to exercise solid risk and opportunity management practices.  Candidate will own all financial aspects of the program and help the program team follow finance policy and procedure to ensure program compliance as required by the contract and by company policy.

Additionally, candidate will possess general business knowledge and be able to support frequent financial reviews with management.  The candidate will manage the program P&L and execute a variety of program/financial control activities. Detailed responsibilities include supporting quarterly Estimates-at-Complete (EACs), monthly forecast reviews, Ops/Business reviews, EVMS compliance, and all required internal/external monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting. 

This role will also perform financial planning responsibilities in support of the monthly forecast process to accurately forecast bookings, sales, profit, and cash, and support balance sheet analysis and cash management. The analyst will also assist in training other members of the team.

This Airborne Mobile program brings visibility at all levels of the PCS organization; frequent exposure to senior management should be expected.  The individual joining the program will be a key part of a fast-paced finance team where strategic thinking, multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements.  The role may require domestic travel.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must have a minimum of 8+ years of related financial and program controls experience applying EVMS principles with DoD reporting requirements.

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in Financial planning principles, Financial controls relative to multiple contract types (CPFF, CPIF)

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR), Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) experience with external customers

  • Proficient in APEX EV and working knowledge of the SAP functions

  • Computer skills, which include a proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  • Understanding of RTX financial and accounting policies and procedures

  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance in the future

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
