Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Pricing Cost Estimating 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at our San Diego, CA facility.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and 6+ years of combined experience in Pricing & Estimating,
Business Management, Contract Management, or Proposal experience OR
Master’s Degree from an accredited university and 4+ year of combined experience in Pricing & Estimating, Business
Management, Contract Management or Proposal experience.
Must be able to analyze or assign resources to proposal schedules quickly and accurately to allow for on time completion of multiple competing tasks.
Working knowledge of the key components of a Cost Volume and bases of estimates any potential flaws/shortcomings.
2+ years of leadership - mentorship experience with the ability to help coach and manage various personnel from a variety of different skill levels in a variety of topics on a daily basis.
2+ years of working knowledge of the government regulations FAR and DFAR.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Proposals
Experience working with Competitive Proposals
Experience in RFP assessment and evaluation for specialized topics or requirements
Working knowledge of the latest trends in Pricing and Estimating and experience generating tools and processes that help to streamline and automate the repetitive administrative tasks that occur in daily business operations
Knowledge of various estimating approaches (Bottom's Up, Parametric, Analogous, Level of Effort)
Keen eye for detail and a working knowledge of Rates, SEEFs, and application of Rates for proposals
Knowledge of parametric modeling or regression analysis
Proficient in using ProPricer
Experience conducting cost analysis and risk modeling
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
A working knowledge of various pricing techniques and approaches is preferred as we cover a variety of different contract types, customers, with unique and challenging requirements.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret or Top Secret/SCI level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $138,100.00 - $207,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
