POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager - Compliance Quality Control – Originations supports the Company’s compliance management plan through the supervision and oversight of compliance testing, preparation of compliance testing reports, and ensuring that the Company complies with the federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the Company’s compliance initiatives, including providing management oversight over the development and execution of testing and reports to comply with the company’s compliance various requirements, including Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Secure and Fair Enforcement of Licensing Act (SAFE Act), and any applicable state specific consumer protection and lending laws.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of the Company’s compliance risk assessments and development of compliance test plans.
- Manage day-to-day Compliance Quality Control (“QC”) workflow processes, provide leadership and guidance to QC associates and external vendor auditors via auditor training, staff meetings and individual communication.
- Manage creation and distribution of targeted federal and state-specific compliance, and product specific post fund audit master sample assignments to auditors, vendors, and Support Group.
- Generate and oversee the communication and management of channel feedback via daily and weekly reports identifying audit findings.
- Manage channel responses to QC Findings via ACES QC Software
- Lead QC Monthly Feedback meetings with lending channels for the purpose of identifying patterns, trends, and coordinating the implementation of Action Plans.
- Manage quality expectations with secondary reviews of internal auditors and third-party vendors;
- Conduct annual performance reviews with direct report staff.
- Participate in all aspects of federal, state, and agency/investor examinations as needed, including completing loan file reviews, preparation of examination responses, and the development of remediation plans and post implementation testing to ensure effectiveness.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of management or supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to effectively lead other professionals.
- 6-8 years’ compliance experience required.
- 10+ years of mortgage lending experience required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Proven leadership and management skills with demonstrated ability to build a group and realize goals, and to ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structure is in place to support the Company’s operations.
- Strong project management, organization skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate careful decision-making, and problem resolution skills.
- An ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Familiarity with mortgage Loan Originations Systems (LOS), documents and Extensible Markup Language (XML) data.
- Experience with Automated Compliance Systems (such as Mavent, Compliance Ease, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with Lending Quality Control Software (such as ACES Quality Management, SecondLook, etc.) is preferred.
