We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Team Leader to oversee and guide our Material Handlers in a dynamic distribution setting. If you're passionate about team development, improving performance metrics, and driving operational efficiency, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Material Handlers to ensure smooth operations and consistent performance in the warehouse.

Motivate and develop your team, driving improvements in key metrics such as OTD and fill rates.

Identify the right talent for each role and lead with a focus on building high-performing teams.

Manage your time and the time of others effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ensure compliance with hazardous materials shipping regulations, with expertise in IATA (International Air Transport Association) guidelines.

Track and trace shipments, using SAP and freight systems to provide status updates and proof of delivery.

Collaborate with other departments and freight forwarders to meet site goals and address business needs.

Oversee inventory control on site and actively participate in annual inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
Basic Qualifications:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organisation in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in a logistics leadership role, with proven team management skills and the ability to drive performance improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).

Strong SAP knowledge, particularly in relation to transactions and shipping processes.
-
Background in hazardous materials shipping, including IATA certification.

Experience in continuous improvement and DMAIC process methodologies.
