Job Description:
The Legal and Compliance department is seeking a Compliance Generalist to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring that our organization adheres to regulatory standards and internal policies across various functions. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of compliance practices, with a specific focus on marketing review as one of the key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities include:

Marketing Material Review: Evaluate and approve marketing materials, presentations, and communications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations across the organization, including but not limited to SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies.

Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, product development, and legal, to provide compliance guidance and support during the development of new initiatives and materials.

Training and Education: Assist in developing and delivering compliance training programs for employees to enhance understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.

Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct regular audits and assessments of compliance practices within the organization, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring ongoing compliance.

Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:

An undergraduate degree. MBA or law degree is a plus.

Strong time management and task/project management skills; possesses an ability to manage multiple priorities and raise issues in a timely and productive fashion.

Superior organizational and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to write effectively.

Ability to transform complex compliance, legal, and business problems into commercially actionable work plans.

Willingness to liaise between business team members (investment, asset management) and firm-wide corporate groups (legal, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, tax).

2+ years of experience in compliance, preferably within the financial services or investment management industry.

Expected annual base salary range:
$115,000 - $150,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
