Learning & Development Specialist

We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join Element Fleet Management. The Learning & Development Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the successful and timely execution of our learning initiatives and fostering overall employee growth and development. This is a highly collaborative role interacting with HR business partners, HRIS and other members of the business to optimize, coordinate, and implement learning globally. The specialist will efficiently organize tasks, monitor progress, track and document risks and decisions, and ensure effective communication with team members and partners. Additionally, this role will manage the administration, troubleshooting, and support of our Learning Management System (Workday) and Learning Experience Platform (Degreed), seeking ways to enhance system effectiveness and addressing system issues and enhancement requests with vendors.
A Day in the Life
System Administration, Governance, and Learning Support:
- Administration, troubleshooting, and support of the LMS (Workday) and LXP (Degreed)
- Monitor and maintain learning community governance and standards
- Provide helpdesk support for learning-related inquiries from the business
- Create instructor-led training offerings within the system; manage attendance and enrollment
- Collect and analyze data related to learning and development to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
- Monitor learning system usage and support learning dashboard and reporting requests
- Lead system enhancements, process improvement, and automation initiatives; support configuration and conduct testing for system enhancements
- Develop and maintain procedures and work process documentation
Project Management:
- Support and manage components of the annual compliance learning and onboarding programs, including system configuration, implementation of new features, completion tracking, and user support
- Support and manage components of business learning projects and updates to existing content, including content curation, resource updates, and entry-level instructional design
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Collect evaluations, learning assessments, and/or conduct interviews to measure program success; use data-driven insights to propose learning program enhancements and new initiatives
Communication:
- Create communication materials to build awareness and drive the adoption of learning and development offerings
- Ensure effective communication and understanding of learning and development expectations and strategies across key business partners
- Assist with developing presentations related to learning and development strategy, performance, and roadmap
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across PPC and the business to align learning and development initiatives with organizational goals
- Consult with stakeholders to identify needs, gather lessons learned, and provide regular project progress updates
Qualifications
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Solid understanding of learning principles and practices; knowledge of various instructional design methods, tools, learning techniques, and development strategies is preferred
- Familiarity with a learning & development strategy and including learning program design and delivery, learning facilitation, and measurement of learning solution success
- Ability to recognize learner support patterns, identify root causes, and solutions
- Proactive thinker with a detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach
- Savvy with Excel, system reporting, and learning new technologies
- Excellent planning, organizing, and follow-up skills; ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn; motivation and dedication to excellence
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; skilled collaborator
- Awareness of industry trends and best practices in learning and development
- LMS and LXP administration experience preferred (Workday and Degreed experience is a plus)
- Experience designing/delivering career development tools, resources, and programs and collaborating with “on the job” SMEs who facilitate job-specific training
- Professional learning certifications helpful, but not required
The hiring base salary range for this position is $62,560 - $86,020 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
