Alcon is looking for an experienced and driven Lead Salesforce Developer to join our innovative team. The Lead Salesforce Developer will play a pivotal role in guiding the development team, providing technical leadership, and ensuring that Salesforce solutions are effectively designed, developed, and implemented to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale initiatives.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Salesforce development team, ensuring that best practices and coding standards are upheld.
- Lead grooming sessions, providing guidance on the level of effort required for development tasks and helping to prioritize work.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Act as the technical point of contact for large initiatives, providing expertise and direction to ensure successful project delivery.
- Integrate Salesforce with other internal and external applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Salesforce applications, providing guidance to developers on best practices.
- Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Salesforce development.
- Proven experience in leading development teams and providing technical guidance.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce integration.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II
Preferred:
- Salesforce Administration 201 Certification.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ and Billing.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working on large-scale Salesforce implementations or transformations.
