Are you passionate about ethical standards and eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic, forward-thinking company? At Zalando, we're seeking a Junior Compliance Manager to join our Corporate Compliance team. The team maintains the group-wide Compliance Management System, including our third-party compliance setup. Amongst others, they take care of ensuring that our operations as well as the third-party-facing processes comply with legal requirements such as the German Supply Chain Act. In supporting that team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our third-party risk assessment and management strategies. You'll translate legal requirements from relevant regulations, such as the German Supply Chain Act and (upcoming) European Legislation, into actionable risk assessment frameworks tailored to our needs.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

You’ll support the development and improvement of our third-party risk assessment and management framework in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and execute existing risk-mitigating measures and management plans

You’ll utilise data-driven insights to optimise the effectiveness of risk management strategies

You’ll support your colleagues in serving as the internal and external point of contact for ethical and legal compliance standards and, depending on your expertise and educational background, in guiding contract negotiations and reviewing regulatory updates

You’ll support your colleagues when following up on potential misconduct within our business partner network.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You gained first professional experience in Compliance and/or due diligence within a fast-paced, innovative environment, ideally in the garment industry

You have a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to ethical business practices

You have a data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

You hold an academic degree in relevant fields, usually either a Master's or State Examination degree in Law or Economics

You demonstrate strong organisational skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German language skills are beneficial as we also execute German Laws
