Job Summary
The IOP Coordinator is responsible for being a resource and point person to the IOP Team for providing group based therapy, crisis intervention, safety planning and assessments, problem solving situations and cases and engaging in clinical dialogue. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Complete all required documentation and ensure documentation for the IOP Team is in compliance. This could include chart audits.
- Develop, expand and implement curriculum for group based services for children and adolescents 8-18 y/o including the following skills but not limited to CBT and DBT skills.
- Provide individual, group, family and crisis services to IOP participants.
- Create a safe milieu for clients and staff, promoting engagement and participation.
- Participate and facilitate weekly staffing rounds meeting with the IOP Team for case conceptualization and offer clinical insight.
- Provide crisis support to the IOP Team including crisis intervention, assessing for safety, safety planning and communicating with families.
- Engage external contacts including but not limited to families, hospitals, schools, and other community organizations.
Qualifications
- Have two years post master’s experience (required)
- Possess skill set of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) (required)
- Hold the following licenses or certifications: LPC, or in the process of obtaining LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, (preferred)
- Have prior experience working with adolescents in a partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (required)
