Job Responsibilities:
JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with supervising Maintenance Team members and ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work is completed promptly and efficiently supporting production needs.

  • Maintain a program of preventative and predictive plant maintenance.
  • Evaluate, schedule, and prioritize plant maintenance work orders.
  • Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Assist with evaluation of sub-contractors for equipment installations and modifications.
  • Assist with evaluation of sub-contractors for building and ground maintenance.
  • Monitor team member performance, discipline, self-improvement, and involvement.
  • Resolve safety issues concerning machine guarding.
  • Address environmental issues involving maintenance activities.


Who we are looking for:

  • Candidate must be classified as a Maintenance Technician I or II and have proven experience in industrial maintenance.
  • 2 - 4 years of industrial maintenance experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety issues including machine guarding and environmental concerns that affect the Maintenance department.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call 24 hours a day.


EDUCATION:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Mechanical and/or technical training in industrial maintenance or related field.


SKILLS:

  • Individuals must be mechanically inclined and able to motivate team members.
  • Must be technically competent to evaluate problems and provide direction.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer aptitude.
  • Delegation and Supervisory abilities required.

  • Office equipment, machine shop equipment, portable welding and grinding equipment, precise measuring equipment, genie boom, forklift, and overhead crane.
