Job Title:

Human Resource Intern

Job Description:

An HR intern assists the Human Resources department with various administrative tasks including recruitment, employee record management, onboarding, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and supporting the implementation of HR policies, gaining hands-on experience in the field while learning about company operations and compliance with labor laws. 

Key responsibilities of an HR intern may include:

  • Recruitment support: Posting job openings, sourcing candidates through various channels, screening resumes, conducting preliminary interviews, and scheduling follow-up meetings. 
  • Onboarding assistance: Preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and helping with employee introductions. 
  • Employee record management: Maintaining accurate employee data, updating employee files, and maintaining compliance with data privacy regulations. 
  • Administrative tasks: Answering employee inquiries, handling basic payroll queries, and managing employee leave requests. 
  • Training support: Assisting with the development and delivery of employee training programs. 
  • Compliance support: Helping to ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies. 
  • Project assistance: Contributing to special HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives or performance reviews. 

Education Requirement

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field.
  • Junior or Senior level candidates preferred.

Required skills for an HR intern:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
