Human Resource Intern
Job Description:
An HR intern assists the Human Resources department with various administrative tasks including recruitment, employee record management, onboarding, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and supporting the implementation of HR policies, gaining hands-on experience in the field while learning about company operations and compliance with labor laws.
Key responsibilities of an HR intern may include:
- Recruitment support: Posting job openings, sourcing candidates through various channels, screening resumes, conducting preliminary interviews, and scheduling follow-up meetings.
- Onboarding assistance: Preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation sessions, and helping with employee introductions.
- Employee record management: Maintaining accurate employee data, updating employee files, and maintaining compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Administrative tasks: Answering employee inquiries, handling basic payroll queries, and managing employee leave requests.
- Training support: Assisting with the development and delivery of employee training programs.
- Compliance support: Helping to ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies.
- Project assistance: Contributing to special HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives or performance reviews.
Education Requirement
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field.
- Junior or Senior level candidates preferred.
Required skills for an HR intern:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
