Job Description

Position Overview

The HRIS Senior Systems Analyst will act as a strategic liaison between HR and HRIS (Workday), ensuring that HR technology solutions effectively support business needs. This role requires deep HR domain expertise, strong business systems analysis skills, and extensive experience with HR systems, particularly Workday.

As a senior-level role, this role will not be responsible for configuring Workday but must understand its complexities, dependencies, and integration points to optimize HR workflows. The role will lead stakeholder collaboration, drive process improvements, manage HR technology projects, and ensure HR teams effectively leverage Workday capabilities and analytics dashboards to make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, ensuring HR systems align with business objectives, Workday capabilities, and 2025 HR priorities (e.g., Workday optimization, process automation, shared services centralization, and global expansion).
  • Work closely with HRBP, Rewards, Talent, Shared Services, and Payroll teams to drive long-term HR technology roadmaps.

  • Provide input on HR system enhancements, optimizations, and automation initiatives.

2. Business Systems Analysis & Project Leadership

  • Lead HR system-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and HR technology capabilities.

  • Conduct business systems analysis to assess Workday functionality, workflows, integrations, and system dependencies.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, ensuring HR stakeholders' needs are effectively translated into system enhancements.

  • Use issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA or similar tools) to manage requirements, track project progress, and coordinate sprints with HR and HRIS teams.

  • Partner with People Shared Services (PSS) to improve automation in onboarding, offboarding, payroll processing, and document management.

3. Workday Optimization & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Ensure HR teams fully utilize Workday capabilities, eliminating inefficiencies and manual processes.

  • Work with HR Analytics and People Data teams to guide HR teams on interpreting analytics dashboards and workforce insights.

  • Partner with HRIS and IT teams to assess new Workday modules, automation tools, and third-party integrations to support business needs.

4. Change Management & HR Process Training

  • Drive HR system adoption efforts, ensuring HR teams understand and maximize Workday capabilities.

  • Develop and execute change management strategies for HR system implementations, upgrades, and process changes.

  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and executive-level briefings to improve HR teams' proficiency with Workday and related systems.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • HR Experience: 7+ years in HR roles (HRBP, Talent, Rewards, Shared Services, or HR Operations), preferably in fast-scaling or tech-driven environments.

  • Business Systems Analysis Experience: At least 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst, working on HR technology projects, system integrations, and process optimization.

  • HR Technology Expertise: Extensive familiarity with Workday (Recruiting, Performance, Compensation, Core HR, and Payroll integrations)—able to analyze and optimize processes but not required to configure the system.

  • Project Leadership: Strong experience in leading HR system-related projects, managing stakeholders, and tracking progress using issue-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA or similar tools).

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to align HR technology solutions with business objectives and influence HR leadership decisions.

  • Process Improvement & Automation: Demonstrated ability to streamline HR workflows, drive system automation, and reduce manual work dependencies.

  • Data Utilization: Ability to interpret and leverage HR analytics dashboards to support strategic decision-making (without generating reports).

Preferred:

  • Experience in IPO-readiness environments, working on SOX-compliant HR processes.

  • Familiarity with global HR operations (e.g., payroll outsourcing, cross-border hiring, compliance).

  • Experience evaluating new HR technology investments, integrations, and system implementations.

  • Knowledge of AI ChatBots with an interest in leveraging them and becoming proficient in their use. Advanced Prompt Engineering would be a bonus.
