Cerence AI is seeking a dynamic and results-driven HR Business Partner to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will serve as a key partner to business leaders, ensuring that human resources strategies align with and support the organization’s goals. You will be instrumental in driving employee engagement, supporting talent development, managing employee relations, and facilitating organizational change. As an HR Business Partner, you will leverage both corporate and local HR initiatives to optimize employee performance, enhance team effectiveness, and build a positive organizational culture.
You will work closely with leadership and HR teams to address HR-related matters, drive key initiatives, and contribute to the overall business strategy. Your ability to influence at all levels of the organization will be critical in fostering strong relationships, coaching leaders, and ensuring that HR practices are effective and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute HR plans that support organizational objectives, improve performance, and enhance employee engagement.
- Talent Management & Workforce Planning: Partner with Talent Acquisition to strategize on recruitment needs and support talent development, succession planning, and skills assessments.
- Organizational Development: Support organizational changes, streamline HR processes, and partner with leadership to design efficient organizational structures and processes.
- Employee Relations & Coaching: Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, offering guidance on employee relations issues and coaching leadership to resolve challenges effectively.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Review and analyze HR data to identify trends and offer actionable solutions to improve retention, performance, and overall employee experience.
- HR Program Management: Facilitate key HR programs such as performance management, employee development, and benefits, ensuring their successful rollout and alignment with both corporate and local needs.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of local HR policies and provide guidance on corporate HR philosophy and processes.
- Change Management: Facilitate smooth transitions during periods of organizational change, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned with the broader business goals.
Core Qualifications:
- 8–12 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on generalist HR functions and employee relations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Experience in driving employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives.
- Expertise in handling organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Experience using HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in coaching managers, resolving conflicts, and supporting leadership development.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in a technology or AI-driven organization is a plus.
- Exposure to talent management analytics and the ability to use data to influence decision-making.
- High level of adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
