As our HIM Associate, you will be maintaining the integrity and precision of patient records. You’ll use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interview patients as well as physicians and their staff.  Your role plays a key part in managing and overseeing health information systems.

To thrive in this position, you will need to be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about handling sensitive information. You will use your understanding of Health Informatics (HI) to run an error analysis and recommend solutions.

Previous experience in health information management will give you leverage to understand the department. We will teach you our industry-leading technology and a variety of medical terminology to perform at your best and feel good about what you do.

Here’s What You Can Expect

  • Work with patients to manage patients' rights, including opting in and out of the HIM Exchange.

  • Place and manage flags on medical records, coordinating with both patients and clinical staff.

  • Utilize EPIC to flag records for various reasons, such as identifying violent patients.

  • Handle patient amendments by facilitating corrections to medical records when discrepancies are noted by patients.

  • Coordinate and communicate across multiple departments to ensure smooth operations and resolution of issues.

  • Perform duties that are distinct from regular HIM functions, focusing on patient interactions and administrative tasks.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $14.69 - $20.28 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
