PeopleCert is seeking a Head of Rewards & Employee Relations, responsible for shaping our total rewards strategy, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving employee engagement. In this role, you will design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programmes, benchmark market trends, and develop long-term incentive schemes. Working closely with both national and international teams, you will ensure compliance while creating an environment where employees feel valued, motivated, and aligned with our company’s mission.

As Head of Rewards & Employee Relations, your responsibilities will include the following:

Compensation & Benefits Strategy

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Developing and managing total rewards programmes, including salary structures, incentive plans, and benefits offerings.
  • Monitoring market trends, conducting market benchmarking, compensation analysis and recommending policy enhancements to remain competitive.

HR Policies & Budget Management

  • Reviewing current HR policies and practices, implementing necessary improvements.
  • Leading staff cost budgeting, annual salary reviews, and bonus allocation processes.
  • Partnering with finance and business leaders to ensure cost-effective and scalable reward solutions.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on labour relations, employment law, and workplace matters.
  • Managing complex employee relations cases, including grievances, disputes, and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
  • Developing and managing employee handbooks, terms and conditions, and contractual documents

 ✅ HR Projects & Cross-functional Initiatives

  • In addition to the above responsibilities, this role, as a member of the PeopleCert HR Team, will also be involved in or lead HR-related projects as assigned by the VP People & Culture.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in HR or a related discipline is an asset.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Expertise in compensation benchmarking, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Fluency in English (C2-level proficiency preferred; LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certification would be a plus).
  • Fluency in Greek
  • Advanced computer literacy is required (ECDL Advanced level certification desirable).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
